WebCT Registration Instructions

1.  Go to the main WebCT website:  http://webct.hawaii.edu

2.  At the above screen, register for a WebCT account by clicking 'Create myWebCT'.  If you already have an account, you can skip this step.

- you will be asked for your name, email address, and a login / password.  Fill this out, and write down your name and password in a safe place.
- after clicking 'continue', you'll be taken to a WebCT login screen to test out your account.  Once you're logged in, click on 'Add Course'.  This will take you to the same place as Step 3 (below), and you can add the course.  Continue at Step 4.

3.  Once you have an account, go back to http://webct.hawaii.edu, and click on the 'Course Listing' link.

4.  Scroll down to 'UH Manoa (Course Alpha A-I)', and click on it

5.  You will then get a listing of UH courses.  Scroll down to ICS 111 / 211 (whichever you are enrolled in).  Click on the one with (BP) after it (standing for Blanca Polo).

6.  At this point, you'll be taken to the registration screen.  Go ahead and self-register for the course- by clicking on the 'Register' button in the middle of the screen.

7.  This will add you to the course.  At this point, you can click 'Go to Course' and you will be taken directly to the course WebCT site.  From now on, you can simply log in at http://webct.hawaii.edu, and after logging into WebCT, you can click on the course (it will be listed automatically in a section called 'my WebCT'.

8.  At this point, you can play around in the WebCT site and get familiar with it.  Since you will be using the site primarily for quizzes, go to that section and check it out.  There is an introductory survey that you can take, so that you can get a feel for what it is like to take a quiz.  This will not count towards your quiz grade; it is just for practice and for you to provide the instructor some information about yourself.
