Kailua Beach

Kailua Beach Park, often rated as the "Best Beach in the World," is a generally wonderful place to enjoy swimming and beach recreational activities. It has a very nice, fine sandy beach. There are generally no significantly hazardous ocean or beach conditions.

This beach is Matt and my favorite beach ever.  Even Matt's mom and my cousin, Jenna, loved it.  It is the best beach in the world.  The water is so clear and it is so sunny.  It is a very peaceful place to go relax have a beer and unwind.  Sometimes you may even see a sea turtle.  You can canoe in this area to the little islands that you see in the pictures here.  That is a lot of fun.  You can pack a lunch or you can have lunch in the town.  There are plenty of places to eat.  We will be arriving around 9am. 

*Meeting Spot Info*

We will be meeting at Kailua Beach Park by the showers.  When you are coming down the street it will wind around.  You will go over a bridge, once over the bridge find parking. There will be a parking lot on your left and a restaurant on your right.  We will meet you at 9:00am at the showers.  Or if you are running late simply following the side walk towards the beach with the short green grass and you will find us.  Or call our cell at 808-783-6836.  See ya there.

Directions from Town:

Get on H1 and get off at the Pali Hwy.  You will head through the mountain.  This is a great time to look off to the right and see a waterfall.  You have to look when there is a clearing but there is a waterfall there.  Once through the mountain you will be going downhill now.  You will go through 4 stop lights. You will see Castle Medical Hospital on your left keep going straight.  You will go through Kailua town ship.  You can either go right where you will see all the restaurants and stores to shop at.  Then at the second stop light make a left.  You will head towards the ocean now.  You can rent Canoes on your left. If you choose not to you may continue going to your right and yield.  Once you yield you will wind around and you will go over a small bridge.  Once you go over the bridge you will park at the next parking lot on your left hand side.  A restaurant will be on your right hand side.  If you cant find parking in the lot then park alone the road.
